Omega: The Unknown #10
The tenth and final chapter of Jonathan Lethem and Karl Rusnak's ambitious Marvel limited series arrives with a cover by Farel Dalrymple that's genuinely striking: a dense crowd of blue-uniformed figures bearing the Omega symbol press forward toward a crumbling wall, surrounded by an array of strange alien and monstrous beings watching the scene unfold. There's a palpable sense of convergence here — many different creatures and costumed figures all drawn toward the same breaking point — that feels like a fitting visual summation for a series that always delighted in the weird and the unexpected. Dalrymple's loose, expressive linework gives the whole image an unsettling, carnival-like energy that sets this 2008 finale apart from anything else on the shelf.
