This issue contains two stories. "Luck—by the Armful!" follows an ex-baseball player named Lefty who trains to fight veteran slugger Rhino McMahon in a boxing match, with encouragement from his trainer Hank Bloom and the support of a crowd who believes in his potential, though Lefty struggles against his more experienced opponent. The second story, "The Trail to Tombstone," involves Oklahoma Kid discovering that a woman named Mary Cary has been harboring secrets related to her father's murder by a man named Bert Rex, a partner in an overland stage company; with Oklahoma Kid's help, the truth is exposed and the guilty party is apprehended. An additional story, "The World's Too Small!," depicts a hermit who lives a solitary life in the desert until unexpected visitors arrive at his cabin, disrupting his peaceful existence.
