The Oklahoma Kid confronts his former partner, the outlaw Black Ace, accusing him of making a mistake in their shared territory and threatening his reputation. After a brief confrontation, the two men decide to seek the sheriff's assistance, with a bounty promised on Black Ace's head. A separate story follows Mahatma Randu, who asks Captain Shaw to save him from his pursuers; Shaw agrees to hide Randu in his tent but is later attacked by a mysterious, hooded figure wielding a knife, whom Shaw discovers to be an assassin working for Black Ace. After a struggle, Shaw defeats the attacker and learns that Randu's life hangs in the balance as he races to town to fetch the sheriff.
