Part of the sweeping Annihilation: Conquest crossover, this 2007 issue from Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning pairs with interior art by Sean Chen and Brian Denham. Adi Granov's cover is a striking, moody composition — a grey-skinned warrior woman with glowing white eyes shoulders a large bladed weapon while clutching Nova's distinctive gold-and-red helmet in her other hand, smoke curling from it ominously. The skull-adorned belt, chain necklace, and cool, detached expression make her a compelling presence that sets a decidedly tense tone for whatever awaits inside.
