Noble Causes has always worn its tagline — "Sex, Secrets & Super-Powers" — proudly, and issue #17 delivers on all three fronts right from the cover. Shane Davis and Kris Justice render an intimate, tension-charged moment between two characters in close embrace, a golden-costumed figure leaning in for a kiss with a striking woman whose dark hair shimmers with a galaxy of tiny stars. Jay Faerber's superhero-soap-opera world thrives on exactly this kind of emotionally loaded imagery, and with Fran Bueno joining the creative team, there's plenty of reason to dive in.
