Part of DC's 2001 "Joker: Last Laugh" crossover event, this issue drops Nightwing into a full-scale riot at the Slab — the high-security prison facility whose walls are already tagged with graffiti proclaiming it "Joker's House." The cover, penciled by Ed McGuinness and inked by Jason Martin, captures Dick Grayson in his blue-and-black suit lunging forward with fierce determination, escrima sticks blazing, while an orange-jumpsuited prisoner fires energy blasts on the rooftop below amid a chaotic crowd of inmates.
