Nightwing #32

Nightwing #32 brings the high-flying energy of "Double Dare" with a cover by Scott McDaniel and Karl Story that puts Dick Grayson front and center — black-and-blue suit, arms flung wide, launching himself through a storm of exploding rubble and brilliant orange flame with a helicopter looming ominously in the background. McDaniel's dynamic angles make the whole image feel like it's bursting off the page, capturing exactly the kind of fearless acrobatics that define this character. Writer Chuck Dixon was in fine form with this 1999 series, and this issue looks like a thrilling showcase for Bludhaven's guardian at his most kinetic.
