The second issue of Marvel's 1994 series wastes no time establishing Nightwatch as a force to be reckoned with — the cover by Ron Lim and Al Milgrom sends him diving straight at the reader, his dark cape billowing and red-clawed gauntlets outstretched, while a white-masked armored figure called Flashpoint looms in the foreground amid bursts of fiery chaos. Bystanders scramble in the background, giving the confrontation a real sense of urban stakes. Terry Kavanagh and Ron Lim deliver a sophomore issue that looks every bit as kinetic as it promises.
