Chip Zdarsky and Jacob Phillips's crime series delivers a quietly unsettling cover for its sixth issue — a close-cropped face staring out with wide, unnerving intensity while a blood-soaked hand reaches into the foreground. The stark black-and-white palette broken only by that vivid crimson makes the image hit harder than a full-color spread ever could. If this is the tone Newburn has been building toward, issue six looks like a genuinely gripping chapter in this 2022 Image Comics series.
