New Avengers #5
This volume collects the New Avengers tie-in to Marvel's Civil War event, as the team fractures over the Superhuman Registration Act. Captain America's Secret Avengers and Iron Man's pro-registration forces clash, with the series focusing on the personal conflicts among longtime teammates. Issues #21-25 are included, written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Howard Chaykin and Jim Cheung.
In "New Avengers: Disassembled, Part Four," Sentry finds himself on the moon, seeking solitude after the turmoil of the Civil War. There, he shares a tense dinner with Black Bolt and the Inhumans, offering his perspective on the fractured state of Earth’s heroes. As the night unfolds, old feelings stir between him and Crystal—until Iron Man arrives to pull him back to the planet and its unresolved conflicts.
In "New Avengers: Disassembled, Part Five," a disgruntled former Stark Enterprises employee, resentful over his inventions being used against Captain America, infiltrates Avengers Tower with a dangerous plan. Just as the situation escalates, Maria Hill intervenes to prevent disaster—then delivers a surprising suggestion to Tony Stark: that he should become the new director of SHIELD.
