“Kraimer, Part 1: From Night's Velvet Wings”

In "Kraimer, Part 1: From Night's Velvet Wings," Bryan Talbot launches a gripping tale set in a fractured British Empire, where agents Luther Arkwright and Rose Wylde face a deadly ambush at the Crystal Palace. With Arkwright’s eerie foresight guiding them, they narrowly survive an attack by nihilistic revolutionaries wielding napalm guns—only to watch the Palace and a priceless loaned Bayeux Tapestry burn to the ground. The story unfolds with tense precision, all rendered in Talbot’s distinctive, immersive art, while Graham Manley’s striking cover captures the chaos of the moment.

At the Crystal Palace in one of the few remaining British Empire realities, agents Luther Arkwright and Rose Wylde are targeted by nihilistic revolutionaries with napalm guns. Arkwright’s premonitory abilities saves them just in the nick of time. He dispatches both assailants, but the Palace goes up in flames, along with the Bayeux Tapestry on loan from France.
