Namor, the Sub-Mariner #31

Part of Marvel's 1992 Spider-Man 30th anniversary celebration, this issue of Namor the Sub-Mariner arrives with a cover by Jae Lee that crackles with raw tension — the bare-chested, ferocious Namor clashes against a heavily armored, caped figure against a deep black backdrop, fists and force colliding in a dynamic tangle of muscle and metal. The story is titled "Plunder," which fits perfectly with the barely contained fury on display here. With John Byrne writing and Jae Lee handling both pencils and inks, this is a confident, striking entry in the series.
