The cover of Nailbiter #5 plunges you straight into dread — a young woman in a purple shirt tumbles helplessly into a dark void, clutching an upturned umbrella while skulls, a noose, knives, and scattered debris swirl around her in freefall. Mike Henderson's composition uses that yawning chasm of shadow and ember-lit depth to make the fall feel genuinely vertiginous and unsettling. Joshua Williamson and Henderson's horror series was already building a dark reputation by 2014, and this cover makes a strong case that issue five isn't letting up on the tension.
