Mystique #3

Marvel's shape-shifting schemer finds herself in a precarious spot in Mystique #3 — the cover, by Shalvey and Hollingsworth, plunges us into a vertiginous top-down view of Mystique's blue-skinned form falling or pinned inside a fractured chamber, completely dwarfed by a massive mechanical giant looming overhead with glowing red eyes. The sense of scale is genuinely striking, with crumbling walls and debris framing the confrontation in vivid pink and purple hues. If this 2025 series has been building toward a showdown with something much larger than Mystique herself, issue #3 makes that tension unmistakably clear.
