At a nightclub, Stan confesses to a friend that he has never seen a glamorous girl and claims he wouldn't be surprised if she looked different from what he imagined. When a beautiful dark-haired woman appears, Stan becomes entranced, but his friend warns him not to stare. Stan then encounters Lucy, a woman he knew years ago who has become sophisticated and successful, and he struggles with his attraction to both women. After Lucy departs with another man, Stan learns that Lucy is involved with someone else, and he decides to pursue a simpler life, eventually becoming interested in meeting Duke Carlson, a boxer, through a mutual acquaintance named Holly who arranges an introduction.

When Stan Franklin, a celebrated photographer married to Astrid, begins drifting from his wife—who's more focused on keeping a spotless home than romance—he finds himself drawn to Fay Williamson, a glamorous young socialite who sits for her portrait. As Stan becomes increasingly enchanted with Fay and a movie producer offers her a shot at stardom, his marriage teeters on the brink, and both Stan and Astrid must confront what they've lost and whether it can be found again.

Three young women arrive at a summer hotel hoping to meet someone special, and when the eligible bachelor Anthony Brent checks in, they each make their move — but Nell's stunning ignorance about the world around her and Margo's cold intellectualism both leave him cold. When Lucy approaches him with genuine curiosity, warmth, and a balanced outlook on life, Anthony finally finds what he's been looking for.

As Long as We Love!
2 pp · Romance

Mona Ross has carried a quiet crush on Rod Ferris for years, watching helplessly as the wealthy and accomplished Elsie Loft seems to win him over at every turn—until a heated confrontation forces Rod to tell her what he actually values. When feelings run deeper than surface comparisons, true love speaks louder than jealousy.

Good-Natured Schnook!
7 pp · Romance

Sid Appleton is a genuinely decent guy—the kind everyone takes advantage of—until he meets Holly Vernam, a new neighbor who actually appreciates his kindness after he rescues her kitten from a tree. Just when Sid thinks his luck has finally turned around, his old pal Duke Carlson muscles in at a dance, monopolizing Holly's attention and testing whether even a good-natured schnook has his limits.
