My Own Romance #6
In "When Hearts Must Break!", Alice and Ricky's love story takes a heartbreaking turn when Ricky enlists after Pearl Harbor and is declared missing in action. Years later, with a new life built with her kind boss George and a daughter named Pam, Ricky returns—alive but with amnesia. The emotional core of this poignant 1949 tale lies in Alice’s quiet struggle between past and present, duty and desire, as she navigates the weight of choices made in silence. Art by Pete Tumlinson brings tender depth to every panel.
