My Little Margie #10

The issue contains two stories. In "Fashion Fancy," Margie must have the hem taken up on a dress for a dinner date with Freddie, but the styles keep changing so rapidly that she cannot keep up with them, and Freddie ends up taking the task upon himself. In "Rhyme, Woman and Song," Margie is chosen Queen of the Summer Music Festival and attends with Freddie, where he secretly writes poetry; when Tex Cridder discovers and mocks Freddie's verses, the gang spreads the word, but Margie and Freddie ultimately surprise everyone by revealing that Freddie composed the lyrics to the festival's featured song, which Lawrence Ribbet performs with Margie on stage, turning potential embarrassment into triumph.
