Bud Fisher's beloved odd-couple duo returns in this 52-page April–May 1948 DC offering, priced at just ten cents. The cover by Sheldon Mayer drops us ringside for a perfectly timed gag: a referee catches the diminutive Jeff red-handed, pulling a horseshoe from his boxing glove — his only defense being a cheerful "Luck!" — while a flattened opponent slumps against the ropes and stars fly. It's the kind of breezy, good-natured humor that made Mutt and Jeff a staple of American comics, and fifty-two pages means plenty more laughs waiting inside.
