From the prehistoric depths of imagination, Marie Severin's cover for this 1988 Star Comics gem sends Baby Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, and the whole Muppet Babies crew tumbling across the back of a friendly plesiosaur, surrounded by triceratops and other dinosaurs in a lush primordial landscape. Kermit gleefully shouts "Wheee! This is fun!" while Miss Piggy quips "Ooch! I'm feeling a little dino-sore!" — pure charm that perfectly sets the tone for the "Great Dinosaur Party" inside. With writer Laura Hitchcock and the triple-threat artistry of Marie Severin handling pencils, inks, and colors, this is a cheerful slice of late-'80s all-ages comics that's hard not to love.
