J.V. Fletcher wants his partner Hallahan murdered so he can take over the entire rubber plantation business they own together in Brazil. He hires Otongo, a native witch doctor, to do the deed and to send Fletcher proof of the murder by sending him Hallahan's head. After the deed is done and Fletcher returns to America, the severed head of Hallahan stalks him for revenge.
