Carol confronts the Brood Queen, whom she thought she killed long ago when she was the spacefaring Binary. The queen kills Carol and throws her body onto the fallen Cru. The Operation Lightning Storm heroes finally arrive on Monster Isle and begin to battle the Brood. The bodies of Carol and Cru link up once again and Carol is reborn with her cosmic Binary powers.
