Part of Marvel's Midnight Sons line, this February 1994 issue of Morbius: The Living Vampire delivers a charged street-level confrontation right on its Shawn McManus cover — a snarling, feral Morbius crouches over a downed caped figure while a hulking, armored villain looms menacingly in the background. The raw tension between predator and pursuer is palpable, with McManus's gritty linework giving the whole scene a street-corner brutality that suits Morbius perfectly. With Gregory Wright on both writing and colors and Isaac Cordova handling interior art, "Wraith Revenge" looks to be a satisfying chapter in one of the darker corners of the Marvel Universe.
