Moon Mullins, a young boy, tries to save fourteen dollars for his mother's medical bill by visiting a doctor, but the visit results in an additional costly bill instead. When Moon's grandmother calls and mentions a woman named Miss Jones who resembles his grandmother, confusion ensues about her identity. Later, Moon attempts to help a dentist who refuses local anesthetic before pulling a tooth, and the boy's mischievous antics—including breaking windows and causing general household chaos—frustrate the adults around him, though he remains oblivious to the damage he causes.
