Moon Knight #8

Alex Maleev's painterly cover for issue #8 captures Moon Knight mid-leap against a sweeping blue atmosphere, crescent darts in hand, with a luminous full moon cradled beneath him and white birds scattering across a shadowy cityscape below. The moody, almost impressionistic palette — all cool blues and ghostly whites — gives the scene a dreamlike tension that suits Marvel's most psychologically complex vigilante perfectly. Brian Michael Bendis, Maleev, and colorist Matt Hollingsworth continue to bring a cinematic sensibility to this 2012 run.
