# Monte Hale Western #85 This issue contains two stories. The main feature follows Monte Hale as he becomes trapped in a cabin under siege by armed attackers who attempt to kill him and the besieged pioneers inside, forcing Monte to engage in a desperate fight for survival and rescue. A secondary story titled "Seeds of Friendship: A Gray Hawk Story" depicts young Gray Hawk of the Otapi tribe defending a white settler's right to farm nearby and sharing corn seed, but the gesture of peace is tested when the rival Shawanga tribe attacks the Otapi village, prompting Gray Hawk and the tribe's warriors to mount a defense against the invading plains warriors.
