"Happy Homer" is a humorous short story about a cheerful cowboy named Homer who borrows five dollars from his friend Slim and must navigate various comedic situations involving repayment misunderstandings. "Legends of Paul Bunyan" presents a tall tale in which Paul Bunyan's father warns his son about campfire safety by recounting how a massive forest fire once devastated the northern woods after careless loggers left their camp fire smoldering.
In "Avalanche," Frank and Jesse race against time to protect Betty and her father after a gang threatens their gold claim. With Jesse drawing the outlaws’ attention, he leads Betty and her father into a dangerous trap while Frank rides to summon the Sheriff.
