Monte Hale Western #74
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis July 1952 Fawcett offering puts cowboy star Monte Hale front and center — literally — as a photo of the grinning, hat-wearing hero on horseback dominates the bold red cover, six-shooter raised and ready. Flanking him are two illustrated vignettes: a punch-throwing brawl on the lower left (complete with a "WHAM!" sound effect) and a bucking bronco scene on the lower right, with a small portrait of Gabby Hayes teased at the bottom alongside the promise of "Rustler's Roundup!" It's a lively, action-packed package that captures exactly what made these real-actor western comics such a fun ride in the early 1950s.
