Monte Hale Western #60

"Renegade of the Rockies" follows Monte Hale and his hired hands as they pursue rustlers who have stolen a valuable balloon to use in their criminal operations. When the rustlers escape with the balloon at night, Monte uses the aircraft to track them from above and spot their hideout. The story continues into Chapter Three, titled "Passage from Peril," where Monte and his soldiers become trapped in the Pueblo while battling a group of hostile Native Americans who have been incited to attack by the rustlers, with rattlesnakes and an approaching Arapaho warrior adding to the danger.
