# Monkeyshines Comics #26 (May 1949) A character attempts to teach a rabbit to swim for six carrots, but the rabbit proves difficult. A sailing vessel's captain sends Nutty Squirrel to find missing nuts aboard ship. Later, a dog challenges a horse to a race, promising to win with a hop, skip, and jump, resulting in the dog catching a rabbit during the competition. In a separate story, a character teaches rabbits to swim in a pond, leading to comedic mishaps including one rabbit nearly drowning before being revived with an oxygen tent, after which the rabbit hiccups from eating too many H.I.C. cups.
