Monkeyshines Comics #25 is an animal-themed anthology featuring several humorous comic stories. "Nutty Squirrel" presents a collection of brief anecdotes involving various animal characters, including a tramp's encounter with Marmaduke, a hippo and rabbit's misadventure on a trolley, Funny Bunny's quip about coffee, hunters Pat and Mike in the jungle, and the story of Charley Chipmunk's misguided attempt to act tough in the army, which backfires when he inadvertently challenges a drill sergeant. The issue also includes the comic strip "Nutty Squirrel," which depicts a man attempting to catch a squirrel with a net, and other visual gag-based stories typical of the anthology's lighthearted animal humor format.
