Marmaduke greets his old friend Tolliver, introducing his two young nephews who now live with him. As the boys enthusiastically shoot arrows at a target, Marmaduke casually reveals he gets them at wholesale from a friend in a sporting goods store, much to Tolliver’s surprise.
Three beaver brothers mourn their father’s passing, only to discover his will promises a hidden fortune in gold beneath their land—sparking a frantic digging spree. As their search yields nothing but dirt, the youngest reveals a surprising twist: their father’s true legacy was not gold, but the wisdom of planting seeds.
Carrottop Cabot stumbles upon Ferdie Fieldmouse building a rocket in a frantic bid to reach the moon—claiming it’s made of green cheese and worth the trip. As Ferdie insists on launching immediately, Carrottop is dragged along for the ride, only to find themselves hurtling through space with no clear idea of where they’re headed. The journey takes an unexpected turn when they spot something shocking through the ship’s window, leaving their fate uncertain.
A squirrel, serving as the head waiter in a diner, confidently takes a customer’s order for clam chowder—only to serve a bowl with no clams, leading to a comically indignant protest. The squirrel defends the dish with a deadpan logic that turns the absence of clams into a punchline, highlighting the absurdity of the situation with a wink.
