About this Collection

This volume collects a selection of Jean Giraud's work under his Moebius pseudonym, featuring his signature surreal, intricately detailed science fiction and fantasy art. Published by Graphitti Designs in 1989, it compiles stories that showcase his influential visual storytelling and imaginative worlds.

In "Book 1: Chihuahua Pearl," Blueberry and his allies race through a treacherous landscape, evading enemies across smoky plains and raging rivers, only to uncover a box of lead bars instead of the promised gold. The mystery deepens as the Federale Vigo reveals the truth behind Juarez’s theft of Confederate gold, setting off a chain of consequences that lands Blueberry in a court-martial. With art by Jean Giraud—both in the story and on the cover—this 1989 issue from Graphitti Designs delivers a tense, visually rich chapter in the saga, written by Jean-Michel Charlier, Jean-Marc Lofficier, and Randy Lofficier, and lettered by Kenny Lopez and Michael Heisler.

Continuing... Blueberry's allies find an iron-bound coffin in a church. Stealing a wagon, breaking out with booby-trapped mules and a smokescreen, they race for the border. Switching to a stage and cutting a bridge, boarding a ferry across the Rio Grande, they cut the cable and drift through rapids. Gunning down more villains, they open the box to find - lead bars. The Federale Vigo explains Juarez "borrowed" the Confederate gold to finance his revolution. The gang drifts away. Blueberry stands court-martial for stealing the gold and is sentenced to 30 years in a Federal penitentiary...
