Moe and Schmoe accidentally save the Maharajah of Pakisgoon from a mishap, earning a mysterious box said to hold a priceless bird's egg. Thinking they're doing a favor, they hand it off to a long-suffering local they've annoyed—only to discover the Maharajah was joking all along. The box was never about an egg, but a valuable ruby, and now the real trouble’s just beginning. Written and illustrated by Art Helfant, with cover by Art Helfant, this 1948 gem from D.S. Publishing delivers a classic farce with a twist that’s as unexpected as it is perfectly timed.
