Dragged into a costly charade that takes them all the way to the reservation, Schmoe and Moe soon discover the truth—there’s no oil, and Hot-Foot only used them to win a bet.

In this classic 1948 humor tale from *Moe & Shmoe #1*, Moe and Schmoe accidentally save the Maharajah of Pakisgoon from a minor mishap, earning a mysterious box said to hold a priceless bird's egg. Thinking they’re doing a favor, they hand it off to a long-suffering man they’ve annoyed—only to discover later the Maharajah was joking all along, and the box actually contained a valuable ruby.
