The Blackhawks thought their work was done when they left El Caffar, but a mysterious firebug named Mr. Moloch arrives to extort the oil depot with threats of arson—and a terrifying ability to ignite fires with nothing but his touch. When Moloch targets the installation and Blackhawk confronts him directly, the criminal reveals an arsenal of fire-based schemes far more elaborate than simple intimidation. With Blackhawk facing overwhelming odds and deadly traps designed by a pyromancer who knows no limits, the crime-fighting team must reunite to stop a madman who's weaponized flame itself.

Ezra Jones and his pal Rollo Grant decide to impress a charming Southern newcomer named Lucinda Drake by taking her to the local dance—but their scheme to raise car-repair money by selling attic junk backfires when they accidentally peddle off a pair of priceless antique candlesticks meant as an anniversary gift. Between mounting costs, borrowed allowance money, and one mishap after another, the boys learn that sometimes the simplest plan is the hardest to pull off.
