Mister Miracle #7

Few comics from 1989 capture the breezy camaraderie of DC's Justice League era quite like this one. The cover, penciled by Joe Phillips and inked by Rick Magyar, shows Blue Beetle and Booster Gold grinning at the front door of what appears to be someone's home, pizza boxes in hand — Beetle even quipping, "Man, oh man, Booster old buddy — are they gonna be HAPPY to see us!" — while a visibly unamused Big Barda peers out from behind the door. Written by J. M. DeMatteis and Len Wein, with interior art by Phillips and Pablo Marcos, "Just Another Day!" promises the kind of warm, character-driven fun that made this corner of the DC Universe so irresistible.
