Back on Earth, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold grow uneasy about a robotic duplicate of Mister Miracle, unaware of the deeper web of deception unfolding. Written by Len Wein and illustrated by Joe Phillips, with inks by Bruce Patterson, colors by Nansi Hoolahan, and letters by John Costanza, this 1990 issue features a cover by Joe Phillips and Bruce Patterson.

After reluctantly performing on the planet Squaarm, Mister Miracle, Oberon and Funky Flashman are teleported back to their employer Manga Khan's ship, where two of Lobo's fishies are accidentally captured while mining promethium ore. Lobo arrives, destroys the ship looking for his fishies and then discovers that one of Manga's droids has bartered his fish away. Meanwhile on Earth, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold become suspicious of Mister Miracle's robotic doppelgänger.
