Millie the Model is up to her charming best in this 1948 Marvel gem, as the cover finds the glamorous, red-dressed Millie pointing toward a jewelry store window while a hapless young man in a striped jacket doubles over beside her, his hand over his eyes — his speech bubble confessing, "Gosh, I just got something in my eye. I can't see a THING!" A thought bubble above the scene reveals what's truly on Millie's mind: a sparkling ring and a wad of cash. Pete Riss delivers a wonderfully comic scene brimming with the lighthearted wit that made this series such a delight throughout the late 1940s.
