About this Collection
This volume collects the entirety of Brian Michael Bendis's run on The Mighty Avengers, following the formation of a new Avengers team in the wake of the superhero Civil War. Led by Ms. Marvel, this roster includes Iron Man, Wonder Man, Ares, and the Sentry, as they face threats like the symbiote-powered menace of the Venom bomb and the chaos unleashed by the Scarlet Witch. The collection gathers issues from the 2007 series, including tie-ins to major events like Secret Invasion and Dark Reign.
In "The Mighty Avengers," Iron Man and Ms. Marvel assemble a new team of Earth's finest after many heroes are registered with the government. Just minutes after forming, the team springs into action when the Mole Man storms into New York screaming about an attack on his underground realm—only to be interrupted by a mysterious woman plummeting from the sky, declaring herself Ultron. Written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by Frank Cho, with colors by Jason Keith and letters by Artmonkeys' Dave Lanphear, this issue features a cover by Frank Cho.
