Metal Men #5
In "Only Mother Actually Cares," the Metal Men face a chilling threat at RoboCon 2020 when Mother Machine attempts to convert human attendees into obedient robots. Written by Dan DiDio and illustrated by Shane Davis, with inks by Michelle Delecki and colors by Jason Wright, this issue plunges the team into a crisis that forces Brother Eye to intervene—stripping O.M.A.C. of his connection to Earth in a massive EMP blast that disables all machines, including Tin and Lead. Back at Doc’s lab, the Nth Metal Man’s efforts to revive Mercury and Iron take a troubling turn as Tina begins to show signs of influence, and a rift grows between her and Doc. The cover, by Shane Davis and Michelle Delecki, captures the moment’s tension with stark, mechanical precision.
