Zosimus, a keeper of the Book of Orin, uses his mage powers to try to open the Hand of Tezumak to retrieve the Wheel of the World. He fails and is confronted by a nameless rock creature, who claims the Wheel by using Zosimus as a blood sacrifice. Before he can fully possess it, a metallic arm from the future appears and plucks it out of his grasp, then vanishes.
