Metal Men #2

The second installment of Duncan Rouleau's eight-part Metal Men series arrives with a cover that's equal parts playful and charming — the team of robotic heroes literally forms the number "2," with the golden and red robots tumbling at the top, the silver robot curling into the curve below, and the blue-toned female robot lounging at the base. A sharply dressed human figure in the foreground delivers the deadpan quip "Well, at least we know they can count," while a smaller robot nearby chimes in with a bemused "IIH." Rouleau's energetic linework and Moose Baumann's bright colors give this 2007 DC miniseries a breezy, self-aware personality that makes it hard not to smile.
