A Fawcett anthology at its energetic best, this 1952 issue of Master Comics promises readers "the story of the year" as Captain Marvel Jr. — shown here in full flight, fist raised and cape streaming — faces off against the mysterious Panther Man, whose sleek silhouette crouches menacingly atop a moonlit rooftop above him. Kurt Schaffenberger's cover art also teases three additional strip adventures: Nyoka the Jungle Girl in a perilous journey, Tom Mix battling the Crushing Empire, and Ozzie in a catastrophic career. Ten cents bought quite a lot of excitement in 1952.
