“Chaser”

In "Chaser," Masakazu Katsura’s Shadow Lady #4, Aimi takes one final, electrifying night as the masked vigilante, leading police officer Bright Honda on a high-stakes pursuit through the city’s neon-lit streets. As the chase culminates in a tense standoff surrounded by armed officers, Bright’s shocking decision to let her go reveals a secret motive rooted in something deeper than duty—his love for her, and a desire to save her from herself. With art and story by Masakazu Katsura, and cover by Katsura in both pencils and inks, this 1999 issue blends pulse-pounding action with a quietly devastating emotional core.
