Marvel Team-Up #96
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMarvel Team-Up #96 (August 1980) pairs two of Marvel's most unlikely allies — Spider-Man and Howard the Duck — in what the cover promises is a gloriously chaotic night in the park. The cover by Alan Kupperberg and Terry Austin puts Spidey in full acrobatic swing while Howard brandishes a sword alongside him, both of them surrounded by a sea of grasping hands and looming over a massive stone head, with a green-suited swordsman menacing from above beneath a full moon. It's a wonderfully odd combination of wall-crawling action and duck-with-a-cigar absurdism that captures exactly the kind of off-kilter fun Marvel was delivering in 1980.
