In "The Obligation," a rampaging Hulk terrorizes New York City, overwhelming the police and forcing Spider-Man to intervene. When even Spider-Man can't calm the beast, he tries a different approach—encouraging the still-rational Bruce Banner to flee the city, offering him money and a chance to start anew. But when Banner stumbles upon an old man being robbed in an alley, the Hulk’s final act of clarity leads to a moment of unexpected redemption, even as his control slips away.
