About this Collection

This volume collects Thor issues #143-152, continuing the epic saga of the God of Thunder as he faces the High Evolutionary's New Men and the return of the Absorbing Man. The collection also features the introduction of the Eternals and the first appearance of the character known as the Mangog, a fearsome foe driven by ancient hatred. Stan Lee's scripts and Jack Kirby's dynamic artwork define this Silver Age run, solidifying Thor's place in Marvel's cosmic pantheon.

In "The Wrath of Replicus," Thor wages a fierce battle against the seemingly unstoppable Destroyer—unaware that it is Sif’s life force that powers the machine. With Odin finally ready to end Thor’s exile, his full strength is restored just as Ulik and a horde of Trolls assault Karnilla’s fortress, forcing her to free Balder from her control to defend her realm. This 2007 Marvel Masterworks edition features the legendary writing of Stan Lee and the dynamic art of Jack Kirby, with inks by Vince Colletta and letters by Sam Rosen, all brought to life on the cover by Kirby and Colletta.
