Marvel Knights: The World to Come #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMarvel Knights: The World to Come #4 — subtitled 'Part Four: The Wall' — marks the pivotal mid-to-late turning point of the most ambitious Marvel Knights project in over two decades, the issue where, according to its own solicit text, the full scope of the miniseries' reconceived Marvel Universe snaps into focus. As the fourth chapter of a six-issue limited series set in a hypothetical post-T'Challa future of the 616, it escalates the threat of the antagonist Ketema to the level of a universe-wide crisis, shifting the story's stakes from a Wakandan succession drama into something that implicates the entire Marvel hero community. The series itself is historically significant as the first full Marvel Knights initiative since the imprint's 20th-anniversary anthology in 2018, and the first time original Marvel Knights architects Joe Quesada and Christopher Priest have collaborated since founding the line that revived Marvel's fortunes in 1998.

The creative seeds of The World to Come stretch back to October 2017, when Christopher Priest pitched Quesada an idea rooted in Priest's original Marvel Knights Black Panther run; Quesada has said publicly he immediately committed to drawing it and pushed for an even larger scope. After roughly four years of quiet development teased on social media — Quesada first hinted at a new project in late 2021, showing early sketches of Captain America and Black Panther — the series was formally announced in March 2025 and launched June 4, 2025, with executive editor Nick Lowe noting the book had been in production for years and was substantially complete before its debut. Issue #4 itself landed late: originally solicited for September 17, 2025, it slipped to November 12, 2025, part of a pattern of delays that pushed every issue in the run back from its original shipping date, a production reality Bleeding Cool documented in real time.
