Marvel Heroes Extra #10
In "No Unwounded Soldiers," the young students of the Academy find themselves in the heart of Washington DC, stepping up to defend the city as Tigra leads them into action during Sin’s explosive assault by a towering Nazi robot. Written by Christos Gage and illustrated by Tom Raney, with inks by Scott Hanna and Andrew Hennessy, colors by Jeromy Cox, and letters by Joe Caramagna, this issue captures the urgency of a city under siege and the growing courage of its youngest defenders. The cover, by Billy Tan, perfectly captures the scale and intensity of the moment.
In "No Unwounded Soldiers," Jo and her fellow Academy students find themselves in the thick of a citywide crisis when a giant Nazi robot, unleashed by the villain Sin, crashes into Washington DC. With most of their teachers occupied elsewhere, the students must rely on Tigra’s guidance to help defend civilians during the chaotic assault.
In "Fear Itself, Chapter 2: A God-Awful Small Affair," the Avengers are pulled away from the Academy students during the chaos of the Washington invasion, leaving them vulnerable. When Veil is faced with an impossible choice, she must confront the cost of survival in a moment that tests her limits.
In "Things Fall Apart," Jo and the other students face a dire threat to Earth, rallying to protect it even at great personal cost. Though the Avengers arrive just in time to stop the catastrophe, the Absorbing Man and Titania slip away—leaving behind a fractured team and a hard choice for Veil, who ultimately decides to leave.
In "Endings," Jo and her fellow instructors make pivotal choices that reshape the future of the Academy. As Veil departs for a new role with Jeremy Briggs, Speedball and Justice follow suit, leaving behind a legacy that Hank now carries forward by relocating the Academy to the former West Coast Avengers compound and welcoming new students.
