Blackie Glaxon is the new cellmate of Doctor Octopus and he offers a large sum of money if the Doctor will break them out. Meanwhile, Peter wants to support Betty as she tries to get her brother Ben to abandon his criminal associates (including Blackie Glaxon). Later, the escapees show up at Ben's apartment and kidnap Betty, taking her to an abandoned ship. Spider-Man follows and fights Octopus, while Ben finally switches sides and fights Blackie. The ship crashes, the escapees vanish, and Ben is believed drowned.
